The sample Film Location Release is for use where a film producer wants to shoot a film (including a video) on private property, and is drafted mainly from the producer’s perspective. If a producer fails to obtain a Location Release, the producer could be liable in trespass or for doing other things for which there are legal consequences.

A producer may need to enter into 2 of these agreements for the same property. One with the property’s owner, and another with the property’s occupier if different from the owner.
