A sample agreement used when an Artist wishes to enter into a long-term relationship with a Gallery, where the Gallery acts as an agent for the exhibition, sale or promotion of the Artist’s works. The Artist must determine to what extent the Gallery shall act on his or her behalf. The sample agreement partly incorporates the concept of consignment, where the Gallery is provided with works to sell on the Artist’s behalf, and unsold works are returned at the end of the consignment period. However, under this agreement artworks are provided on a work-by-work basis, and the Artist may determine the time frame of the arrangement. The Gallery receives a set commission on every sale as a percentage of the sale price.
