ACCC secures undertakings from art dealer who created a misleading Certificate of Authenticity for an Indigenous artwork sold online.
The Arts Law Centre of Australia (Arts Law) and Australian Government Solicitor (AGS) were honoured in November in the “NSW 2012 Justice Awards” as nominees in the Pro Bono Partnership Award category. The ceremony was held at Sydney’s Parliament House, the event organised by the Law and Justice Foundation of NSW celebrated the various contributions in improving access to justice in NSW.
On 12 December 2012, Arts Law made a submission to the Tasmanian Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water & Environment in regards to the draft Aboriginal Heritage Protection Bill 2012.
In November, Arts Law provided a submission to the Australian Law Reform Commission (ALRC) inquiry into Copyright in the Digital Economy. The submission has now been published on the ALRC website for public viewining.
