Arts Law is presenting a workshop for music students at Abmusic on Monday 30 May 2011. Abmusic has been supporting and nurturing Aboriginal musicians in Western Australia by teaching them the skills necessary for entry into the competitive world of the Australian music industry. The workshop, funded by APRA, PPCA and the Sidney Myer Foundation, will cover the basics of music copyright and the legal issues faced when forming a band and negotiating recording contracts.
