Tax Tips for Arts Organisations- Perth

Arts Law is teaming up with Creative Partnerships Australia and the Australian Taxation Office to present a free workshop to provide managers and staff of arts organisations with essential tips and advice on taxation law.

Representatives from all three organisations will be on hand to present the most common scenarios, options and responsibilities for both unincorporated and incorporated arts organisations, and answer any nagging questions you may have about  tax law. 
 

Your presenters:

Mark Ferguson, Australian Tax Office 

Mark Ferguson is a not-for-profit specialist at the ATO. Mark has extensive prior experience running NFP organisations in the Arts sector and was a key member of the Treasury taskforce that established the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).

 

Robyn Ayres,  Arts Law Centre of Australia 

Robyn Ayres is the Executive Director of the Arts Law Centre of Australia, the national independent community legal centre for the arts. In 2004, under Robyn’s direction, the Artists in the Black service was established, providing services specifically for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and arts organisations. In her time as Executive Director, Robyn has extended the pro bono commitment provided by the legal profession to Australia's arts community through Arts Law to over $2 million. 

 

Creative Partnerships Australia staff will also be in attendance to answer any questions you may have.
