Film Law and Business Essentials - everything you need to know about the business of film

Are you a filmmaker in Adelaide?  Arts Law, in partnership with the Media Resource Centre (MRC), will be conducting a 1 day film law and business workshop in Adelaide.

The workshop will comprise the following sessions:

  • "Laying down the law" - legal topics including copyright, moral rights, performers' rights, contract & chain of title, entering film competitions and putting your film online;
  • "Insurance matters - it really does..." - insurance topics including public liability, equipment cover, dealing with volunteers, workcover and claims;
  • "Small business basics" - business topics including company vs business name registration, ABN vs ACN, GST, BAS, PAYG, business taxation, auditing, sole trader compliance; and
  • "Music rights and responsibilities".
