Film Law and Business Essentials – everything you need to know about the business of film

Are you a filmmaker in Adelaide? Arts Law, in partnership with the Media Resource Centre (MRC), will be conducting a 1 day film law and business workshop in Adelaide.
The workshop will comprise the following sessions:
- “Laying down the law” – legal topics including copyright, moral rights, performers' rights, contract & chain of title, entering film competitions and putting your film online;
- “Insurance matters – it really does…” – insurance topics including public liability, equipment cover, dealing with volunteers, workcover and claims;
- “Small business basics” – business topics including company vs business name registration, ABN vs ACN, GST, BAS, PAYG, business taxation, auditing, sole trader compliance; and
- “Music rights and responsibilities”.
