The Arts Community Pro Bono Award

Each year, Arts Law honours the lawyers who have made an outstanding contribution to the arts community, on a voluntary basis. Thirty lawyers will be presented with awards at our annual Pro Bono awards.

‘The Arts Community Pro Bono Award’

This year we are including a new category for you, so your organisation can recognize the voluntary work done by a lawyer for your arts community. In 200 words or less, we would like you to tell us why the Pro Bono lawyer you nominate should be acknowledged for their Pro Bono work. (For example, your organisation may have a lawyer on your board or a lawyer may give your organisation or artists free legal advice on contracts.)  The winner will be decided by Arts Law. The award will be presented to the winner at the Pro Bono awards, at Artspace, at Woolloomooloo, in Sydney, on Wednesday 29th May, 2012.  The winner will receive the Arts Law Pro Bono Print Commission, one of thirty prints which this year has been created by Indigenous artist, Elliott Koonutta.

Please download this form, save it as a PDF, fill it out and return it to [email protected] with your nomination by Monday 6th May, 2013. This is a great way to show appreciation for the valuable contribution a pro bono lawyer makes to your organisation.
