First Languages Australia Conference – Kalgoorlie
In October, Arts Law Principal Solicitor Roxanne Lorenz attended and presented at the 2025 First Languages Australia Conference at the Goldfields Languages Centre in Kalgoorlie, engaging with language workers and advocates from across the country.

Trade marks workshop – Kimberley Land Council
Arts Law delivered a trade marks education session for CEOs and Board Chairs at the Kimberley Land Council, focusing on brand protection and practical governance considerations.

Blue Mountains Writers Festival

Arts Law presented two workshops at the Blue Mountains Writers Festival: Legal Issues 101 for Writers, offering practical tips to help writers avoid legal pitfalls, and Defamation Law for Writers, which outlined Australian defamation law, recent cases, and how to balance legal risk with freedom of expression.

Planning and culture – Redfern
Sydney-based Principal Adam Flynn presented at Grounded in Redfern, contributing legal perspectives to conversations on planning, place and community.

ICIP Gathering – Blacktown
Partnering with Create NSW, Arts Law delivered an Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property (ICIP) session at Leo Kelly Art Gallery in Blacktown, as part of the Western Sydney ICIP Gathering Roadshow.

Supporting South Australian artists
Arts Law presented alongside Creative Australia at Guildhouse presents: Introduction to Creative Workplaces + Arts Law, presented by Guildhouse and Nexus Arts. the event provided South Australian artists with practical guidance on contracts, payment terms and copyright, and responding to strong demand for accessible legal information across the sector.
