Hearts for Arts Law Presents: AI and Music: A useful tool for artists, or a threat?

By all accounts, the recent “Hearts for Arts Law Presents: AI and Music: A useful tool for artists, or a threat?” was a terrifically enjoyable and thought-provoking event that delved into the complex relationship between creativity and technology.
Moderated by Felicity Drexel, Canva’s Lead Counsel of Commercial IP, the evening featured a fascinating and well-received panel discussion with:
- Janine Lapworth – Legal Consultant with deep expertise in art and entertainment
- Kartini Ludwig – Founder of Koup Music, creative AI expert, arts worker and collaborating artist
- Dr Mark Oliveiro – Academic Lecturer in Music, Australian Institute of Music
Big hearts to Canva and the presenters, as well as the amazing HFAL committee.

Hearts For Arts Law is a committee of volunteers dedicated to raising much needed funds for Arts Law. It began in 2013 under the then-President of Arts Law, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, now the Governor of New South Wales.
